Centering Values

Faithful Vocation

We live into a dynamic understanding of faith and vocation—which is central to this program—your deep desires, gifts, call, and the needs of the world.

  • Fellows spend their year engaged in faith-based leadership development opportunities through coaching, retreats, and small groups.
  • Fellowship opportunities are currently offered in the fields of Ministry, Finance, Graphic Design, Food Justice, Housing Resources, Advocacy, Public Policy, and Higher Education
  • We are constantly adding new sites to offer more vocational opportunities to young adults - and we would love to hear your ideas too!

Equity

We acknowledge that everyone has different needs and strive to ensure that all have what they need to be successful. We also recognize that many one-year-term programs are often inaccessible for many, we are deeply committed to ensuring program access for all young adults.

  • Access to unlimited tele-therapy
  • Up to $1,000 Relocation Funds
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Sites are required to have accessibility accommodations: specifics for each site are listed under the Partner Directory page
  • Living wage wherever you are

Empowerment

We believe in mutual empowerment between organizations and participants. Having a voice and stake in each other is key for a successful experience.

  • Fellowship and small group opportunities throughout the year to connect with other young adults
  • 6 discernment coaching sessions from ELCA Coaching
  • Supervisors are required to participate in 8 hours of training provided by the ELCA designed to support participants
